Spraying phase

A perfect balance between the synchronized input and extractor power groups ensures correct working conditions of the booth and excludes turbulence within the cabin. During the spraying phase, the input power group forces air into the booth and is be preheated to provide optimal spraying conditions.

Bake cycle

The baking cycle consists of three fully automatic phases and is controlled by simply setting the baking temperature and bake time.

1. Flash-off phase
Firstly, the flash off period runs, which ensures that as the booth heats, the thinners present in the paint are released preventing paint problems if the paint heats too quickly. During the flash off period, the booth runs at maximum airflow : the extractor power group is running and the input power group does not recycle. The lights are turned off during the flash off phase and the compressed air solenoid prevents the spraygun from operating.

2. The baking phase
During the baking phase, all dampers are automatically controlled, to provided the optimum airflows for baking, reducing the air flow to ensure that the high temperatures required during the baking phase are maintained and fluctuations are maintained to a minimum. 90% of the airflow is recycled.

3. The cooling phase
The cooling phase ensures that the booth and car are cooled gradually to prevent ‘thermal shock’ to the paint and to the heat exchanger. During the cooling phase the extractor group is turned on. Once the cooling phase has finished, the lights come back on and the vehicle inside the booth is cool to the touch and the booth is immediately available for spraying the next vehicle.
